THE OPERATION
Early-morning raids followed months of investigation. Addresses were searched across London, Essex, Hertfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Suffolk.
REPORTED ARRESTS
Suspicions included organised crime participation, money laundering, tax evasion and other offences. The release reports arrests rather than findings of guilt; searches were continuing at publication.
OFFICER INJURED
A warrant officer was stabbed in the leg in Cockfosters. Police said the injuries were assessed as not life-changing. A 56-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm in connection with that incident.
